I’ve fished on British Carp Angling Championship qualifiers in the UK and the World Carp Championship on a huge Continental water. Unlike many other leader materials that I’ve used, the connecting knot passes through the rod rings with ease, not catching or causing excess friction. This is because these are tapered from 30lb to 12lb, tapering along the latter half of its 10-yard length, and attaching your main line to the thin end makes for a much smaller knot than with a standard shockleader. This taper also sees the leader cast better than most standard shockleaders. Each spool holds five leaders and they’re incredibly durable, so you get your money’s worth.
