Hungarian rods Peter Micula and Norbert Pongracz have lifted the World Carp Classic trophy on Italy’s Lake Bolsena. The duo recorded a total weight of 329 Kilos and 90 grams over the seven day festival. This was enough to push them in front of Italian duo Andrea Campaninini and Filippo Mongrandi, who took second spot with 253 kilos and 70 grams.
All in all, the event was a resounding success, with 74 pairs averaging over ten fish each. In total 5,013 Kilos of fish were caught, and several World Carp Classic records broken.
