Whether it be wrecking the mesh or snapping the handle, I have gone through my fair share of landing nets. When I got hold of the Stealth X-Lite I was keen to put it through its paces. It’s a simple design.

A standard handle with subtle JRC logos and a neat carbon spreader block that feels robust and reliable, not to mention aesthetically pleasing. The net itself is a carp-friendly mesh, with a stepped-up tension cord that gives the net an impressive stiffness, something I have found particularly useful when netting fish with bundles of weed. Overall I’m well impressed. It’s affordable and reliable. I haven’t broken it yet, so it must be good.
