Supersonik Rod ACF’s TIM HODGES says that Sonik continues to produce fantastic equipment that looks the part and performs the way you want it to, but at astonishing value-for-money prices.
When you are thinking about buying a new set of carp rods you have to weigh up what you need from them. It is easy to get caught up in buying whatever make is fashionable at the time but is it the correct rod for the type of fishing that you do?
The Sonik sk3 XTR 3.25lb will suit most carp anglers who use large PVA bags and sometimes have to fish at long range. There is plenty of power in the butt section but the tip is still soft enough to absorb the lunges of a big carp under your rod tip. It is fitted with a 50mm butt ring, which makes it best suited for use with big-pit reels.
This particular version has a full-length cork handle, which I like, but it is also available in full-length Duplon. The graphics are nice and subtle and it has a line-friendly line clip. Overall, these rods look the part and perform as they should do. Check out the deals available from your local tackle dealer.
Great-looking rods that will at least make you look like a carp angler.
