In the interest of thinning down my gear further to the bare essentials I wanted a carryall that was considerably smaller than the 60-litre rucksack I had been using. After a sort out of my main terminal tackle items, I was able to use a much smaller carryall. This one from Thinking Anglers arrived in the office and it’s the perfect size. With neat pockets for essentials and a central compartment for bigger tackle items it easily fits everything I need. I particularly like the bankstick straps on the outside for keeping your alarms in an easy-access position. It makes an ideal roving rucksack, not to mention the camouflage pattern looks brilliant too.

Verdict: The most comfortable rucksack I have ever carried.
