Tackle giant announces departure of key figure from firm.

Tackle giant Shimano Normark UK has announced that its marketing manager is to leave the company at the end of the month.

Steve Cole has been with Dynamite Baits and then Shimano Normark – following the joint venture between the two companies earlier this year – for over two years. However, as of December 31 he will be moving on from the company to a none angling related position elsewhere.

“My decision to leave Shimano Normark UK came following a dream job offer that I simply could not turn down,” said Steve who will be moving to work as a brand editor in the magazine publishing industry. “My two great passions in work are publishing and marketing so the opportunity to accept a position that combined both roles was simply too good to refuse.”

Speaking about Steve’s departure, Shimano Normark UK’s Sales and Marketing Director Pete Chandler had this to say:

“I know I am speaking on behalf of everyone at Shimano Normark UK when I wish Steve all the very best in his new role and thank him for his hard work during his time with the company.

“During his time Steve has been instrumental in our launch of Rapala and Sufix, taking on the marketing of Shimano and ACE, as well as traveling around the world (from Russia, throughout mainland Europe and over to the USA) to train-up new Dynamite Baits wholesalers. We wish him the very best in his future career.”

At the present time it is unclear as to who will replace Steve in his role at Shimano Normark UK.
